Make It Monday: Card Case Peaceful Poppies

One of the fun things we often do as Stampin' Up! demonstrators is get together as a team and do Make & Take projects. I thought it would be fun to C.A.S.E. (copy and share with everyone) one of the cards we made recently at a team meeting.

Ever get stuck for an idea? Try C.A.S.E.ing! It's a great way to get the ideas flowing.

For this C.A.S.E., I used the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Elements.

Here is one of the Make & Take cards we made at a recent team meeting for this C.A.S.E.

One of my favorite new products in the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog is the So Sentimental bundle. The Stitched So Sweetly  dies is a definite must-have! Great selection of scalloped stitched rectangles and labels.

Check out all the variety of pieces in the Peaceful Poppies Elements pack.

Make It Monday: Peaceful Poppies No Stamp Card

I try to challenge myself at times to do something different with my crafting. Sounds easy, right? You would think, but for this girl with so many stamping goodies to play with, the challenge can be difficult. However, this week I thought I would try "no stamp" cardmaking. The Peaceful Poppies Elements pack made it super easy! Whew! :-)

The pre-cut images in the Peaceful Poppies Elements have a beautiful watercolor effect. Just pop the images out of the sheet and adhere with glue or Dimensionals.

Because my (self) challenge required no stamping, I cut out a sentiment from the Well Written dies in Mint Macaron cardstock.

To add a little more dimension, I colored some of the vellum leaves from the package with Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends and adhered them under the pre-cut flowers.

A Mint Macaron double bow adds a fun touch and ties in the color of the leaves and sentiment.

To carry the colors and theme inside the card, I added a coordinating strip of the Peaceful Poppies DSP and another die cut image from the Elements pack.

Love all the pre-cut patterns in the Peaceful Poppies Elements...glue and go, add accent pieces, or color for some cool dimension.

"Make It" Instructions

  1. Score a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Poppy Parade cardstock. Fold in half to create card base.
  2. Adhere a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock to card front.
  3. Adhere a 1" x 4" strip of Peaceful Poppies DSP to bottom of card front.
  4. Adhere a scalloped black strip from the Painted Poppies Elements to the top of the DSP layer.
  5. Adhere a black circle from the Peaceful Poppies Elements to the middle of the card base.
  6. Die cut sentiment from Well Written dies in Mint Macaron cardstock; adhere to center of circle.
  7. Adhere 2 pre-cut flowers from Peaceful Poppies Elements to opposite edges of circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  8. Adhere double Mint Macaron bow in lower right corner with a Glue Dot.
  9. Embellish with Rhinestones.
  10. Adhere a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock inside card.
  11. Adhere a 1" x 4" strip of Peaceful Poppies DSP at bottom.
  12. Adhere a long-stemmed flower from Peaceful Poppies Elements in lower right corner, overlapping DSP.

Shoe Shelf Pop-Up Card

Life is short...buy the shoes. Such a great reminder to cherish each day!

I'm not usually a frilly girl, but just love the playfulness of the Best Dressed suite. Of course, the shoes were crying for a shoe shelf...so I happily obliged for this week's Make It Monday project.

Each pair of shoes is offset from each other with Stampin' Dimensionals to give the appearance they are sitting on a shoe box.

And...it wouldn't be fancy dress shoes without some fun Wink of Stella sparkle and Rhinestones.

The mixture of bright and subtle colors in the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper make coordination easy and fun.

"Make It" Instructions
  1. Score a 4-1/4” x 8-3/8” piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock on long side at 3/8”, 1-3/8”, 2-7/8”, and 3-7/8”.
  2. Burnish and fold over flaps, adhering small 3/8” flap inside.

  3. Adhere a 2-7/8” x 4-1/8” piece of Petal Pink print paper from Best Dressed DSP to upper section.
  4. Adhere a 1-3/8” x 4-1/8” coordinating striped piece of paper from Best Dressed DSP to lower section.
  5. Die cut a narrow label with All Dressed Up dies in Thick Whisper White cardstock.
  6. Stamp (Memento Black) “Life is short, buy the shoes” sentiment from Dressed to Impress stamp set on label.
  7. Adhere label to striped DSP layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  8. Die cut 2 narrow and 2 rounded large labels from All Dressed Up dies in Crumb Cake cardstock. Cut ends off each narrow label and hump off each large label.
  9. Adhere large labels to “shelf” of upper section. Adhere narrow labels on top of large labels with Stampin’ Dimensionals to create “box” lids.

  10. Stamp (Memento Black) 2 shoes on Melon Mambo cardstock and 2 shoes on Purple Posy cardstock with Dressed to Impress stamp set.
  11. Embellish shoes with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
  12. Stamp (Memento Black) flower with Dressed to Impress stamp set. Color in with Highland Heather, So Saffron, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
  13. Die cut shoes and flower with All Dressed Up dies.
  14. Adhere one of each shoe on top of each box.
  15. Adhere each corresponding shoe overlapping other shoe with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  16. Embellish Purple Posy shoes with Rhinestones.
  17. Adhere flower to left edge of sentiment label with Stampin’ Dimensional.
  18. To mail, gently press down on shelf section to lay flat.
