Sneak Peek: Harvest Hellos Pumpkin Treat Box

FALL...is almost here! September is just a few days away and (hopefully) bringing cooler weather after a blistering Texas summer.

Although we may not yet have gentle cool breezes, I'm in a fall mood with this sweet pumpkin treat box, featuring the Harvest Hellos bundle. Last week I showed you a sneak peek of this bundle with an apple. Today, I changed the look to a pumpkin...love the fun versatility of this set!

This Harvest Hellos stamp set/punch bundle will be available on September 4th when the Holiday catalog launches!

The lid of the Mini Pizza Box was die cut with a square from the Stitched Shapes dies. I recommend die cutting the DSP layer first, then line up the opening on the lid to lightly trace the square for proper centering. It may take a few passes with the die to cut through the lid.

I added a cellophane square sheet approximately 1/4" wider than the opening and adhered on the back side of the lid with Tear Tape.

A cute little banner stamped with one of the sentiments from the Harvest Hellos stamp set adds a bit of whimsy to the box.

The pumpkin was stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock then colored along the lines with Pumpkin Pie Blends. Don't worry if your Blends at first appear dark. Once it dries, it gives a nice shadowed look.

Directions

Note: I recommend using Multipurpose Liquid Glue as your base adhesive for this project.
  1. Die cut a stitched square from Stitched Shapes dies (2nd largest) in a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Come To Gather DSP.
  2. Line up square opening on Mini Pizza Box lid and lightly trace square image with a pencil. Die cut square from lid. (May take several passes to cut through layer.)
  3. Line up and adhere DSP layer on lid.
  4. Adhere a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of cellophane over square on inside of lid with Tear Tape.
  5. Assemble Mini Pizza Box.
  6. Adhere 7/8" x 3-3/8" strips of Come To Gather DSP around box edges.
  7. Using veined pumpkin stamp from Harvest Hellos, stamp pumpkin on a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock with Pumpkin Pie ink. Color "veins" with Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends (dark for narrow line along veins, light to blend in dark on each side of veins).
  8. Punch out with Apple Builder Punch.
  9. Stamp stem from Harvest Hellos on a piece of Soft Suede cardstock with Soft Suede ink. Punch with stem from Apple Builder Punch. Adhere to top of pumpkin at back.
  10. Stamp leaf from Harvest Hellos on a piece of Old Olive cardstock in Old Olive ink. Fussy (manually) cut and adhere to top of pumpkin on front.
  11. Die cut a couple of sprigs from Detailed Peacock dies in Gold Glimmer paper. Adhere behind pumpkin with Glue Dots.
  12. Adhere completed pumpkin in lower right corner of box lid with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  13. Stamp sentiment from Harvest Hellos stamp set on a 1/2" x 1-3/4" strip of Whisper White cardstock in Pumpkin Pie ink. Snip right end to form banner. Adhere in upper left of box lid.
  14. Add treats inside and close box. (I used Werther's Caramel Apple candies.)
  15. Wrap an 18-20" piece of 3/8" Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon around box and tie off with bow on one side.

Make It Monday: Come Sail Away Treat Box

Do you like to create from scratch, from a kit, or a little in-between? I personally like to craft like I cook--a little bit of pre-made mixed with freshly prepared. (My husband's laughing...cook? Ok, he does most of the cooking in our house. LOL).

Stampin' Up!'s premade Mini Shipping Box was right up my alley for this week's Make It Monday project. A little bit of premade with a splash of creative design. The nautical design idea for this box design came from Sue Campfield.

I made several of these boxes for the class participants of my Come Sail Away Home Decor class earlier this month. Inside each box were some embellishments and Lifesavers candies.

Here are the Mini Shipping Boxes with the Stampin' Up! logo on each side. I just wrapped a long strip of the Come Sail Away DSP around the box to form a belly band. (The boxes in this picture show sealed with Stampin' Up! washi tape. The DSP belly band was enough to keep the boxes closed, though.)

I added some Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine on the die-cut ship's wheel for embellishment.

The sailboat and sentiment were stamped from the Sailing Home stamp set and cut with the Smooth Sailing dies.

Directions
  1. Assemble Stampin’ Up! Mini Shipping Box. Add items inside.
  2. Wrap a 2-3/8” x 12” strip of Come Sail Away DSP around box, adhering ends together at front (seam will be covered in later step). Make sure to only adhere ends to each other and not to box so the belly band can be slipped off to access contents.
  3. Die cut a stitched nested label (2nd largest) from Stitched Nested Labels dies in Night of Navy cardstock. Adhere to belly band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  4. Die cut a stitched nested label one size down (3rd largest) from Stitched Nested Labels dies in navy printed Come Sail Away DSP. Adhere to Night of Navy stitched nested layer.
  5. Stamp “Thanks” sentiment from Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink and die cut with banner from Smooth Sailing dies. Adhere toward top center of nested label layers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp small sailboat from Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink and die cut with small sailboat from Smooth Sailing dies. Adhere sailboat to lower right of sentiment banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. Die cut a ship’s wheel with Silver Foil cardstock. Adhere to left of sailboat with Mini Dimensional.
  8. Adhere Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Twine bow to ship’s wheel with a Glue Dot.

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek: Harvest Hellos Apple Jar

Can you say yum yum to some Caramel Apple candies? I packaged some up in this cute 8oz Mason jar with an apple tag from the new Harvest Hellos stamp/punch bundle coming in the 2019 Holiday catalog.

Wouldn't this make an adorable teacher gift or tag for home made preserves?

To make the apple, I stamped 4 apples from the Harvest Hellos stamp set on Poppy Parade cardstock, and punched each out with the Apple Builder punch. To create the 3D effect, I scored each apple in half and adhered sides to each other.

I love how the new checkered pattern from the Come To Gather DSP really makes the apple and ribbon "pop" against this fun Pretty Peacock color.

Make It Monday: Magnolia Blooms Birthday Card

Ok. If we're honest about it, who out there has looked at a new product in the Stampin' Up! catalog and (initially) said "No thanks, not buying."? Then...people start posting all these adorable projects with the product, and you have to have it. That is exactly what happened with the Magnolia Lane suite for me, and it has been one of my favorite and most loved stamp sets so far. You know the saying...Never judge a book by its cover. LOL

Here is a birthday card I made for a friend of mine who has a birthday coming up. For this card, I used the Magnolia Lane DSP and Magnolia Blooms stamp set. Can't find this stamp set in the annual catalog? Nope, it's not in there. It's in our new Experience Creativity brochure for novice stampers. I love how this stamp set makes an awesome companion to the rest of the Magnolia Lane suite.

I punched out some leaves with the Leaf Punch and added a twine and organdy bow for accents.

Ideally, I had hoped to use the Corrugated 3D embossing folder, but it is currently out of stock. Instead, I went old school and pulled out my crimper. Not as easy to control the lines, but got the job done. :-)

I stamped a flower from the stamp set to add a little elegance inside the card.

Here are just some of the other projects I've done using the Magnolia Lane suite. So many beautiful uses for this product!

    Instructions
    1. Cut a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock. Score and fold in half to create card base.
    2. Cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Petal Pink cardstock and emboss with Corrugated embossing folder (or crimp). Adhere to front of card base.
    3. Cut a 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" piece of Magnolia Lane DSP. Cut a wedge at one end to create a banner. Adhere banner to Petal Pink layer with Stampin' Dimensionals.
    4. Die cut a large circle (2nd largest) from Stitched Shapes dies in Mossy Meadow cardstock. Adhere to banner.
    5. Wrap a 24" piece of Linen Thread around the banner/circle and tie off with bow on right side.
    6. Stamp sentiment from Magnolia Blooms stamp set on a Whisper White punched out Everyday Label in Mossy Meadow ink. Adhere to circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.
    7. Add 5/8" Petal Pink Organdy bow over Linen Thread bow with Glue Dots.
    8. Stamp large flower from Magnolia Blooms stamp in lower right corner of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock in Petal Pink ink. Adhere inside card.
    9. Finish front of card with a little bit of Rhinestones bling.
